By accessing or using Lingoproof (“Service”) at lingoproof.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the operator identified in Section 1 above, trading as Lingoproof.

3. Description of Service

Lingoproof provides:

  • Free online language level tests in English, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese
  • CEFR-based (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) level assessment
  • Downloadable language proficiency certificates upon payment

4. Nature of the Certificate

Please read this section carefully.

Lingoproof certificates are CEFR-based proficiency assessments designed for professional CV use, LinkedIn profiles, and informal educational contexts.

Lingoproof certificates:

  • ✅ Are based on the internationally recognised CEFR framework
  • ✅ Include a unique verification code verifiable at lingoproof.com/verify
  • ✅ Are suitable for CVs, LinkedIn profiles, language schools, and most employers
  • ❌ Are not official government or academic certifications
  • ❌ Do not replace IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge, DELE, CELPE-Bras or equivalent for university admission or immigration purposes

By purchasing a certificate, you acknowledge and accept these limitations.

5. User Responsibilities

By using our Service, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information, including your real name for certificate purposes
  • Complete the test independently, without assistance from other people or AI tools
  • Use the certificate only for lawful purposes
  • Not reproduce, sell, or distribute our test content
  • Not attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt our platform
  • Not create false or misleading certificates

6. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

  • Share test questions publicly (including on social media, forums, or messaging apps)
  • Use automated tools (bots, scripts) to complete the test
  • Impersonate another person when requesting a certificate
  • Attempt to manipulate your test score through dishonest means
  • Use our Service in any way that violates applicable laws

Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate cancellation of your certificate without refund.

7. Payments and Refunds

7.1 Payment

Certificates are available for purchase upon completing the test. Payment is processed securely through our payment partners. We accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.

7.2 Pricing

  • General Language Certificate: $9.99 USD

All prices are displayed in US Dollars (USD). Depending on your location, your bank or payment provider may display the equivalent amount in your local currency and may apply currency conversion fees.

Prices are subject to change. The price at the time of your purchase applies to that transaction.

7.3 Refund Policy

Due to the instant digital nature of our product:

  • If you did not receive your certificate due to a technical error on our part, we will resend it or issue a full refund within 5 business days.
  • If you are dissatisfied with your result, we do not offer refunds, as the test was completed and the result generated based on your answers.
  • If you accidentally purchased the wrong certificate, contact us within 24 hours at support@lingoproof.com and we will assess your case individually.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on lingoproof.com — including but not limited to test questions, certificates, texts, images, logos, and design — is the exclusive property of Lingoproof and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our content without prior written permission.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Test results will be accepted by any specific employer, institution, or government body
  • The certificate will meet your specific professional or academic requirements

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lingoproof shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service
  • Loss of data, revenue, or opportunities resulting from use of the Service
  • Any decision made by a third party (employer, university, government) regarding the acceptance or rejection of a Lingoproof certificate

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service.

11. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy at lingoproof.com/privacy-policy.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice on our website. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
