Global e-commerce giant RetailMax announced yesterday that it would be acquiring Singapore-based logistics firm SwiftDeliver in a deal valued at $1.4 billion. The acquisition is expected to strengthen RetailMax's delivery infrastructure across Southeast Asia, a region that has seen explosive growth in online retail over the past five years. Industry analysts suggest the move could significantly reduce RetailMax's last-mile delivery costs, a key challenge for e-commerce operators in the region. The deal is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to close by the end of Q2.

From: Sarah Chen, Procurement Manager To: David Okafor, Supply Chain Director Subject: RE: Q4 Raw Material Orders

Hi David, Thank you for your message. I've reviewed the proposed order quantities and have a few concerns I'd like to flag before we proceed. Given the current volatility in commodity prices, I would recommend we lock in prices now for at least 60% of our Q4 requirements. I've spoken to three of our key suppliers and two of them are willing to offer fixed pricing until end of December. I'd suggest we schedule a call this week to align on the final order volumes before placing any orders. Are you available Thursday afternoon?

Best regards, Sarah

When entering the Brazilian market in 2018, TechFlow adjusted its pricing strategy significantly. Rather than applying its standard global pricing model, the company offered a tiered subscription structure that catered to the different spending capacities of SMEs and large enterprises. Within two years, TechFlow had captured 18% of the local SaaS market, outperforming analysts' initial projections of 8–10%. The key lesson, according to TechFlow's Regional Director, was that localisation goes far beyond translation — it requires a fundamental understanding of local business culture and economic reality.
